Matt SMith FB " This is a slightly faded Bombus rupestris male, with a hint of a yellow collar band which you see now and then. There are pale hairs on the hind tibia, but that character only applies to females when separating Bombus lapadarius from Bombus ruderarius. In addtion to those on the hind tibia, there are also red hairs on the tibia on the other legs, most noticeably the middle leg. This is typical of Bombus rupestris males, they have a "fuzzy red haze" around the legs and body."
